Our south sea is in trouble now due to the disturbance of the surronding countries. As a matter of fact, China has a large territory which means she he needs aircraft carrier to portect his lands and sea. Americans always concerns about our military power but they abuses their power a lot all over the world, like the war against Iraq for the oil. If US want to say something about this, they should self-question themselves first.
Otherwise, aircraft carrier is just a machine. What it will do depends on the user. It can be used as a rescue equipment for the disaster in China and even the countries around.
As one of the most important rasing functions, China will have his aircraft carrier eventually. How to deal with the tensing relationship between China and US is, I think, more important than the arguing for the ship.
